wash up: to wash your hands, especially before a meal
wash st away: If water washes something away, it removes that thing.
wash out: If a colour or dirty mark washes out, it disappears when you wash something.
wash st down: to drink something with food or medicine to make it easier to swallow
wash (sth) up: to wash the dishes, pans, and other things you have used for cooking and eating a meal
