In a normal sentence, the subject of a sentence comes directly in front of the verb. The direct object (when there is one) comes directly after it.

This is the word order in a declarative sentence in English. But don't forget that there are many rules and exceptions in English:

 6               1                  2                 3                    4                 5               6
WHEN?      WHO?        ACTION        WHO?          HOW?     WHERE?    WHEN?
                WHICH?                             WHICH?
                WHAT                                  WHAT

                     I                 go to                                                        school        everyday.
                  They               play           football           very well.
